Thesis completed for a Master's degree in Technical Communication.

Though my initial objective was to identify de-facto standards among 75 leading e-commerce sites, this study emerged more as an analysis of the design practices encountered in the sample of 315 Web pages. A Web site based on the study's data is forthcoming.
